This blog was begun with an aim for the restoration of the Western Christian Culture anywhere it has dominated for the last 2000 years. However, current events are quickly proving that the Western Christian Culture is being defeated at a furious rate. Though the church has a strong “sin conscience” present, the world at large outside the church clearly does not. This is a reality that every Christian needs to face openly and truthfully. Though the Word of God clearly shows that our responsibility to the culture around us will never end until we are gathered together to meet the Lord in the air, and that our Lord has already defeated the world, it also states that the world will continue to wax worse and worse.
2 Timothy 3: 13 “But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.”
We need to be honest with ourselves, victory against the princes and powers of the world is not going to happen until Jesus returns with His heavenly army. And that army includes the saints gathered together to be with Him already.
Revelation 17: 14 “These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.”
While 2 Timothy 3: 13 is a present reality and has been true from the time it was first written by Paul, Revelation 17: 14 is still a future event. For that matter, so is the “gathering together” or “rapture.”
1 Thessalonians 4: 17 “Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
This is the hope we have to look forward to, “to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” But this hope comes with a promise. It is the promise that we will never be caught in the chaos to come that precedes the “war with the Lamb.”
1 Thessalonians 1: 10 “And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.”
We are delivered from the wrath to come.
So in the meantime, our presence on the earth and in our culture alone is enough to hold back the fullness of evil to come upon all of the rest of the world. But before we can ever begin to change our culture, we have to first change ourselves. We have to cast off our walk of the flesh to put on the faith of Jesus Christ. In other words, we have to repent of our walk of sin to learn how to walk like Jesus Christ and turn to God. We have to walk in faith by the Holy Spirit that Jesus Christ gave us. It is to learn to walk by the Spirit.
Ellen Degeneres said publicly that the problem in America is the white male. She is right! But not entirely right. She can only know things by the evidence of the five senses. The Christian viewpoint is different. We are the children of God who are called to walk in faith with Him. In that light, we are called to consider the problem in America from God’s point of view instead.
The problem in America is spiritual. The religious, conservative Christian church has rejected spirituality, and the radical, liberal Left has rejected God.
Unfortunately, so has many self proclaimed Christians. Closet unbelievers still go to church and pay their tithes regularly, but live just like the rest of the world when they leave the walls of the church. We’ve lost sight of our moral compass because we know the Word of God is the Truth. But when two equally respected ministers teach two completely different messages from the same section of scripture, both cannot be teaching the truth. But if we choose to see what our Bible says, we can actually find a version of the Bible that will support both ministers. Now we are really confused and without a strong relationship with God, we are lost and cannot discern which version or minister is really teaching the truth. It’s possible that both have missed the real point of God’s message altogether.
The closet unbeliever knows what to say and when to say it to “prove” they are believers. They practice all of the correct rituals and know the correct scriptures. They know that invoking the name of Jesus Christ gets results, but their faith doesn’t rest upon any relationship by the Holy Spirit with God Almighty. It rests upon the doctrines, the traditions, and the results obtained by following established prayers and Biblical phrases. Don’t get this point wrong. These unbelieving Christians will get results from their prayers. But their faith rests upon the proven results they experienced when they practiced their doctrinal knowledge. They will cast out demons, perform miracles of healing, prophecy, and many other great and wonderful miracles “in Jesus’ name.”
Matthew 7: 22 “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?”
But without a personal relationship with our Savior, our Savior cannot know us and He can make this next statement:
Matthew 7: 23 “And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
These people are part of the gathering together who were saved, but they never made Jesus Christ their Lord. It’s not enough to profess Jesus Christ your Lord when you also choose to live like the world around you. When you walk like the world around you, you are still walking in iniquity. You are walking in whatever manner that will produce the desired results you want to achieve. Living according to the rules of man to achieve the desires of the flesh is living carnally and this is living by the flesh. The unbelieving believer professes spirituality by the virtue of their salvation, but has no spiritual relationship with God Almighty at all. This is the deception of following the religion of man instead of seeking the truth of God from His Word to learn how to build a true spiritual relationship with the Father. Are these people believers? Yes they are. What are they NOT believing? They do not believe in the active and personal relationship with God by the Holy Spirit that works in alignment with the written Word, so they never built a relationship with their Savior to really make Him their Lord.
Matthew 7: 21 “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.”
This is the missing gospel in most of the Christian churches today and illustrates how the church structure is failing its duty to lead believers into a personal relationship with God. It’s very good at leading people to Christ, but offers nothing to help the average believer mature in their spiritual walk of faith. The religious, conservative Christian church has rejected spirituality as it is displayed and taught in the Word of God. So our churches are filled with unbelieving believers who talk the talk, but have no concept of walking the walk of faith.
There are believers who have experienced and know how to walk in faith, but too often, are not in any position to teach or demonstrate their knowledge or walk. Obedience to the leadership of the church and even the world at large is taught as “spiritual” directives from the Bible. Obedience to God and the Holy Spirit is taught as spiritual habits of the apostles that fell away when the written Word was canonized. Miracles have been replaced by science. God’s direct revelation is handled by the written Word. There are no devil spirits, devilish behavior is corrected by psychology. The phrase most often heard when “gifts” or “manifestations” of the spirit is brought up it this: The gifts died with the apostles. This is how spiritual matters are dismissed in the majority of churches today. In fact, spiritual matters are even taught as devilish, or proof of witchcraft. In this manner, believers are being taught to reject placing any trust at all in Holy Spirit revelation. We are not being taught how to walk in faith so the entire concept of faith in God is misunderstood at best or ignored altogether.
Radical liberals on the other hand are open unbelievers. They make no effort to hide their contempt or mistrust in the God of Jesus Christ. But at the same time, are very spiritual and place their faith in the spirits of the world. But the spirits of the world are devilish. These devil spirits are the gods of the world. They are spiritually powerful, They tempt using wealth and physical gratification. They promise eternal life without salvation through Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Their gospel is love and peace through human cooperation. They reject the testimony of God’s Word in every way. Radical liberals know they are using spiritual power and without the evidence of spiritual power among Christians, they appear to be serving the most powerful and only spiritual power among men. They are operating a counterfeit spiritual power that teach a counterfeit salvation. We believe that Jesus Christ defeated the principalities and powers of the world. These spirits are the principalities and powers He defeated.
Colossians 2: 15 “And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.”
This is part of the calling for Radical Christians. We’ve been given the whole armor of God to be able to stand against these principalities and powers. It doesn’t matter what the church teaches concerning your personal ability to appropriate God’s power in your life. You have the ability to decide for yourself. You have the written Word of God to show what to believe, and how God has interacted with His believers, all through His Word. God hasn’t changed.
Malachi 3: 6 “For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.”
In addition to the changeless nature of God, the Word also says that God cannot lie. This is one way that we can know whether the spiritual revelation we believe we receive came from the Holy Spirit or a counterfeit source. God will never contradict His own written Word because He never changes. So any revelation that does not agree with His written Word cannot come from Him. Any revelation that attempts to show that God’s Word has lied, comes from a counterfeit source. Obedience to these “voices” is foolish and comes with great consequences. However, obedience to God’s voice in the Holy Spirit is the same as obedience to Jesus Christ as Lord, and obedience to the written Word. It is obedience to the spirit of truth.
John 15: 26 “But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:”
The Holy Spirit is the Comforter. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth. The Holy Spirit comes from God the Father. And the Holy Spirit testifies of the Lord Jesus Christ. This is the Spirit that every Christian believer has received. Yes, the mere presence of the Spirit will allow you to see Jesus Christ face to face. But if you never ask Jesus anything to help you in your time of need, you will never get to know Him. Then as a result, He will never get to know you either. This is the reason why I wrote my book. I do not want any of my brothers or sisters in Christ hear these words:
Matthew 7: 23 b “I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
How do we work iniquity? By walking in religious obedience to the commandments of men. By never choosing to spiritually walk in faith with God. By seeking to please the desires of our heart instead of the will of God. Do you want to please God? Then you have to learn how to trust your Holy Spirit. Do you want to obey Jesus Christ as your Lord? Then you have to learn how to trust your Holy Spirit. Do you want to withstand against the evil day? Then you have to learn how to trust your Holy Spirit. Our God is the God of Truth and Love. Our daily battles are against principalities and powers from on high. If you want to know how important it is to know how to battle against these evil powers, then you have to learn how to trust your Holy Spirit. My book wasn’t written to help people who already have a strong relationship with Jesus Christ as their Lord. It was written to help anyone who is struggling with “faith” and want to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that Jesus Christ is real and powerfully on your side. If you are concerned that the signs of Jesus’ return is imminent and want to be sure your life is ready and on the right track, this book is for you. It cuts through doctrinal mumbo-jumbo and gets honest with simple, practical clues and a Biblical process to build your faith in your Holy Spirit. If it’s too late to save our culture, it’s not too late to save yourself. If our culture can be saved, it will never happen until more of us build our faith and make Jesus Christ our Lord first. Either way, it’s not too late to get on God’s side because Jesus hasn’t returned yet.
