Hey Y’all

What can I say to start? This is the first of many blogs to come.

There are so many topics to talk about, but the main topic will be Social Activism. The question being: How can we change the things we don’t like in our culture?

Are you concerned about the rising gun violence? It seems so logical to assume that removing all firearms in our country is the best answer. But that has been the social spin being taught to school children since 1939 when Bambi was released by Disney.

Bambi was the first shot against firearms and our hunting culture that was so common in rural America. Hunting has always been an upper class activity and highly regulated in the U.K. This was the first time that a movie presented hunting as an evil activity and hunters as mean spirited killers of innocent animals. It was highly successful in its presentation and the affect of Bambi in our culture is still evident. I have to admit myself, that my own desire to hunt was affected by this cartoon. Even though I was raised in rural Michigan and hunted regularly with my father, I really don’t have the desire to hunt and kill animals. I can and will if the need arises, but it is not a sport activity that I passionately do. If I hunt, it is simply because I want to eat that particular meat.

But hunting is really not the primary reason to “keep and bear arms”. Our government says the second amendment to the Constitution protects the government’s right to protect its citizens. But if that were true, why bother to have the second amendment? The king of England was our leader at the time and he had Redcoats posted in America for the colonies protection and police force. We had the finest standing army in the world for our defense and they were armed. We wanted to expel that army from our land and needed to defend ourselves against a despotic government verging on tyranny. This was the true reason for the second amendment. Its purpose is to protect the rights of the common citizen to defend their life and property against government tyranny.

Many conservative people will say that this is rebellion against the government. But there is a Biblical precedent for defense against government sanctioned tyranny. The book of Esther set the precedent and it was the King himself that made it legal for the Jews to defend their lives and property against Haman’s fully authorized attackers. The King was deceived by an evil advisor that wanted to exterminate the Jews. What the King and his advisor didn’t know, was that the queen herself was a Jew that would also be subject to death by that law.

Today, the target of social disgrace is anyone who is conservative and shows respect and reverence to any conservative spiritual god. But the real target is the person who confesses Jesus as their Lord and worships the God the Father of Jesus Christ. We are the conservative targets of abuse and ridicule simply because we dare to believe and confess that God is real. As long as we remain silent and compliant against Liberal prejudice, we are bound to lose our culture to their godless science.

We have forgotten that we are fighting a spiritual battle against spiritual wickedness from on high. There really is a god of this world and his name is Lucifer. As long as we follow the rules of the world, we play into his hands and are bound to fail. But when we choose to follow the rules of God and learn how to put on His armor and use spiritual weapons of righteousness against evil, then we will regain our cultural authority and leadership influence. Rules for Radical Christians show how we can accomplish this goal. How can I say that I know these tactics will work? These are the tactics outlined in God’s Word and used by the early church. If you say you believe in Jesus, then you are proof that these tactics are effective and successful.
